Everyday Life

Urgent Prayer

Urgent update:
Jason Stamper has been in surgery again this morning and the life threatening infection has spread into other parts of his body. We are still waiting for the surgery to be completed before we hear any more news, but PLEASE bring this young family before the throne of grace today! We have such an incredible opportunity to beseech the throne on their behalf...and I would encourage you to strengthen your faith in who God is as we pray together for His sovereign will. He will work and as we show dependence through prayer...our faith is strengthened in His sovereignty no matter the outcome! The SPIRIT is ALIVE!!!!

Edit at 5:30pm:
We are awaiting the results of Jason's CAT scan at this time. However, a praise that they have been able to identify the 3 bacterial infections at this time, one of which is Ecoli. This will make treatment a bit easier to determine...but the situation is still quite serious as the infection is continuing to spread. There is another surgery planned for Saturday, if not sooner, so please keep them in your prayers the rest of this week. Jack Stamper, Mark and Amy Stamper, and Mary Brumbaugh will all be arriving in MN soon to be with Beth and Jason and to help in any way they can. This will be my last update as the website listed below will be the best source of information for the next few days!

the caring bridge website is set up to keep people updated on any news and specific ways to pray for the family.

Psalm 119:71 - It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes...Beth and Jason, we look forward to seeing how God will further grow your faith in his Word as you journey through these sovereignly ordained moments of difficulty.

Anne,
Thank you so much for the update. I have been calling Mom and Dad Nelson and updating them as I read new info from your site and from the caring bridge website.

As I was praying for them last night and this morning, I found myself reflecting on the truths of Psalm 18:30 and 31,
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
may Beth find comfort in our perfect Heavenly Father.
